Gospel MBA’s On The Loose…Cue The Camera!

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Life in America has changed greatly over the years, with massive changes in technology, global politics, lifestyle choices and family dynamics. Many of us remember the days where we heard Rock of Ages bellowing out from windows of the local church down the street, now to hear it replaced with gospel Rock N’ Roll . During the course of change in our society there has been noteworthy shifts in our religious behaviors and religious institutions. Two generations ago, circuit riding preachers were still for many the evangelist of the day. Through the years, as televisions arrived into each home, so too did the faces of television evangelists such as Rex Humbard, Oral Roberts, and Billy Graham, to name a few.

As people changed, so have the faces of ministries that attempt to reach them. The small country church has now given way to the Mega Church , and done so at a time when the unchurched population in America is reaching an all time high. So many Americans stay away from church, that according to The Barna Group (www.barna.org, a research group based out of Ventura, California) if all the unchurched Americans formed their own nation, they’d be the twelfth largest nation in the world, and it would include 13 to 15 million born again adults and children.

Powered by the great commission, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel , ministries have pushed forward in their focus, and in doing so, been forced to take on the inner workings of a major corporation. Evangelistic ministries have become known for their supporting administrative and executive organizations, with many churches now having CEOs, COOs, and CFOs. With corporate style organizations, the need for increased donor support to cover the associated costs of preaching today’s gospel has never been higher.

Surprisingly, for the effort shown to date, many of America’s top 11 evangelists struggle not only to get their message out, but also in introducing themselves to America. Survey results released in February of 2007 showed that among 34 public figures from four basic fields, of the ministers, Dr. Billy Graham topped the ranks for being best known and having the highest positive impression on a majority of Americans. Second in notoriety was Pat Robertson, but paling in the field of positive impression when compared to Dr. Graham. Chuck Colson, from the former Watergate era was unknown to 87 of Americans. Bill Hybells, unknown to 96 of Americans. Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, was unknown to 76 of Americans. T.D. Jakes, recently touted by a national magazine as the next Billy Graham, was unknown to 68 of Americans. Finally, Joel Osteen, known more as a writer than his role as a preacher, and while preaching every Sunday to 30,000 people in his own church and another 7,000,000 each Sunday via TV, Joel Osteen was still unknown to 67% of Americans.

As ministries expand and move forward in organizational and administrative capacities they are forced to embrace the technological field for spreading thier message. International borders become a natural hurdle in the race to expand. For some ministries, this hurdle from a management view point becomes a hurdle much larger than anticipated, for the way things are done on American soil, is rarely the same in countries like Canada, the UK, Europe, South Africa, Australia, and Asia. Each country has it’s own cultural differences, legal and taxation requirements. Each country has it’s own regulations on how much of the ministries office work must be done in country. Each border crossed becomes a learning curve for the evangelist and key administrative team.

Birthed due to the increasing need to help ministries expand are International Facilitators, who can quickly pave the way for ministries by going first into countries, setting up the proper legal, financial, taxation, and administrative services. These contract ministry administrative and operations specialists can shave months off the time it would take a ministry to enter a country legally. At least one such organization routinely maintains offices in countries such as Canada, the UK, South Africa, and Australia, servicing several ministries simultaneously out of the same offices, keeping administrative costs for each ministry down by sharing overhead costs. Rarely seen and rarely heard, these International Facilitators empower ministries to cross international borders easily, allowing Evangelists to focus on ministry to the people, while knowing they already have in place, full compliance and operational integrity with the governing bodies of the host nation.

There is no doubt, the church as we once knew it is changing. In North America, surveys are showing there is growing discontentment amongst parishioners with the conventional church, while at the same time, North America is seeing growing satisfaction amongst those who are switching over to small house churches. The television church is now deeply entrenched in our society, allowing many followers to be exposed to churches from the comfort of their own home. As the church continues to preach a message that is marriage or birth focused, Single Adults feeling alienated by this message continue, to a large part, stay away from any form of church all together. As the conventional church preaches and teaches marriage, and in recent decades marriage restoration, recent statistics are now giving those in the church community a higher divorce rate than in the non-church community. The church is definitely facing changing times.

Where the church goes from today will be largely determined by the church’s ability to change, adapt, and reach it’s listeners with a personal touch, while allowing for those who wish to sit on the fringe. The hold to the status quo mentality of many of the church’s older guard, will no longer breathe longevity into this institution. While the core message remains the same, the window dressings currently used to display that message must change to stay current with the times. In the past, churches were clearly run by the Pastor. Today it’s often the executive officers who run the church directing the administrative ministry machine, leaving the Pastor free and clear to focus on his or her first vocational priority, ministering to the people.

Different types of umbrellas

*Offset patio umbrellas. These umbrellas are designed to create more space under the umbrella. They have their pole off to the side of the umbrella instead of in the middle. This is an ideal alternative if your outdoor table setting doesn’t have an umbrella hole in the middle of it. When choosing an online store, it is advisable to buy from stores that have a very good reputation with satisfied customers. If the item you have chosen sounds too cheap or too good to be true, then it may be.

FAQ on Fosamax Lawsuits

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Why do doctors prescribe Fosamax?

Fosamax is often prescribed to osteoporosis patients and advanced cancer and Paget’s disease patients in order to help fight the thinning of bone common in those diseases.

Nearly 10 million people use or have taken Fosamax, the most popular drug in a class of bone-building drugs called bisphosphonates that have now been linked by the FDA an d medical researchers to thousands of cases of dead jaw. Fosamax is usually taken in pill form on an empty stomach.

Most users are prescribed Fosamax to treat symptoms of the bone-thinning disease osteoporosis - a disease that is especially common in post-menopausal women. Mounting evidence now suggests that millions of osteoporosis and other patients who take or have taken Fosamax may be at risk for this usually rare condition.

Why a Fosamax lawsuit?

Big drug companies have a responsibility to warn innocent consumers like you about serious side effects like osteonecrosis of the jaw. A number of Fosamax users have already filed a Fosamax lawsuit in federal court against the drug’s manufacturer, Merck & Co., claiming that Merck knew about this dangerous and debilitating side effect yet failed to act to protect the innocent public

According to the plaintiffs in this Fosamax lawsuit, “Fosamax is a defective product because it can cause osteonecrosis of the jaw, or a rotting of the jaw bone. The suit, which seeks class action status, alleges that Merck concealed and continues to hide Fosamax’s potentially dangerous side effects from patients and doctors.” - Theresa Agovino, “Lawsuit Alleges Merck Negligent,” Washington Post (April 12, 2006).

Is a Fosamax attorney right for me?

Justice demands that huge and profitable pharmaceutical companies like Merck be held accountable for their actions. People who suffer from dead jaw or other serious side effects brought on by Fosamax or similar drugs may be eligible to receive compensation for their medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering if the drug’s maker has not properly warned the consumer about the serious health risks associated with the drug.

If you or a loved has taken the osteoporosis medication Fosamax or other bone-density medication like Actonel or Boniva and experienced symptoms of jaw death or other serious medical complications, you are strongly encouraged to visit a dentist. We are not doctors or dentists and can not give you medical advice. However, if the dentist diagnoses the problem as ONJ (jaw necrosis), call an experienced Hissey Kientz attorney at 1-866-275-4454 to find out how you can protect your legal rights.

Our law firm has years of experience handling drug lawsuits against big pharmaceutical companies like Merck. We strive to get the best possible results for our clients, and we handle drug cases for clients all over the United States. The compassionate and experienced Fosamax attorneys at Hissey Kientz will work hard to understand your situation and give you the best possible legal advice.

The Leo Wanta Saga, Pt. 20: Next Few Days Critical In Whether $4.5 Trillion Wanta Money Repatriated For Americans

Friday, July 4th, 2008

The Ambassador Leo Wanta story has been ringing in the ears of high level officials all over the world for the last two weeks ever since President Bush and the Federal Reserve Board refused to honor a $4.5 trillion written agreement to release the money for the betterment of the American economy.

Wanta had previously entered into an agreement with high level U.S. authorities and a number of world wide banks to repatriate the massive amount of money.

But his efforts have been blocked by officials who are afraid to open up a financial can of worms, leading to the misuse of trillions of offshore funds by Bush Sr., Clinton and many other high level U.S, officials.

Wanta has been declared legal trustor of more than $27.5 trillion in offshore funds amassed when he was instructed by President Ronald Reagan to destabilize the Russian currency at the end of the Cold War, which turned into a highly successful financial program beyond Wanta and Reagan’s wildest dreams.

But instead of using the money to strengthen America after Reagan was out of the picture, Bush Sr. and Clinton devised a plan to use the money for their own underhanded purposes, jailing Wanta in the process, as they then created phony front companies and illegal trusts to use the money illegally.

Once Wanta was released from jail, he began a quest to recover the money against enormous odds and a level of corruption called by financial observers as the biggest bank heist in the history of the world.

Although the incredible details of Wanta’s patriotic search for trillions is too long and complicated for this short article, the story supposedly had a quasi-ending when the written settlement in May, assisted by two federal court judges, was entered into for the repatriation of $4.5 trillion.

However, when Wanta became alarmed by long delays, he gave officials until July 31 to release the money, saying this publicly on Greg Szymanski’s radio show, The Investigative Journal, and confirmed by Michael C. Cottrell, treasurer of his AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc., the company established to return the money to the people in the form of an immediate $1.575 trillion in federal tax money and the balance of the money set aside for improving the bewildered American economy.

Furthermore, when the July 31 deadline came and went, Wanta vowed to take all steps necessary to recover the money and as this story went to publication, Cottrell said we are moving forward, remaining confident in the final goal, which is full and final receipt for the money due Ambassador Wanta .

Besides the $4.5 trillion settlement, financial observers claim the Wanta saga is the tip of the ice berg, revealing a vast war chest of more than $300 trillion used by the New World Order, headed up in America by Bush Sr.

Coincidently, this amount was even confirmed by Bush Sr. in the federal court room of Judge Deborah Batts in 1989 when arrogantly stood up in front of lawyers and said when confronted with the possibility of the exposure and elimination of his illegal cash cow, the Federal Reserve:

Over my dead body will this ever happen and I have a $300 trillion dollar war chest to fight it.

Although no firm time frame has been set for the resolution of the Wanta matter, observers claim next week is a critical period to watch.

Further, observers say to watch for the bigger picture as the Wanta’s exposure of the misuse of trillions of offshore money could have reverberations worldwide leading to a possible shake-up in the Federal Reserve banking system and a round up to justice of many high level officials who have been illegally using trillions of dollars behind the backs of the American people and the people of the world.

However, while the officials do their financial wrangling, let’s look at a sampling of emails, only a handful of thousands sent to Arctic Beacon by average Americans made aware of what has been called one of the most important stories in American history:

From Windsong in California:

I have been following this closely because of some mention of it on a forum I read quite often. I admire Ambassador Wanta for standing for truth and not being moved by people that have the power and influence on their side. It seems he is up against impossible odds. So I suppose my question is this, in light of the government’s refusal to sign off on this, what is Wanta able to do? I hope all are exposed that are to blame for this, but other than that what leverage does he have. My prayers are with him.

From Loretta Weston in Arkansas:

I am editor for a small independent family-oriented newspaper in Arkansas USA interested in reporting on the Leo Wanta story. We are an all-volunteer staff where all funds go directly to printing/postage costs. However, we want to help spread the word to our over 4000 loyal readers in the US & Costa Rica. How can we get access to the full articles on your web site?

From Garrett Seick in Washington state:

For my part, I have contacted several journalists, editors and elected officials (WA) and Senate & Congressional Committees (Budget, Finance, etc). The responses/replies received from media-types indicated personal agreement that this issue needs exposure, but that it was outside the scope of the publication, or that it was too big to handle. On the elected official side - mostly standard-fare like this from Washington State Senator Patty Murray: (note: my reply to her response appears first)

Senator Murray,

All due respect, Ma’am. Thoughtful deliberation?… How about action on this issue! Come on, Senator! Get educated about it & bring this to the public eye. If not, you’ve been duly informed & will go down in history as complicit! Please, take action on this issue & help save America - land of the free (?) & home of the BRAVE.

Dear Mr. Seick:

Thank you for contacting my office. Your thoughtful comments regarding Leo Wanta are greatly appreciated. Representing the state of Washington in the United States Senate is a solemn responsibility, and matters which come before this body must be decided not in haste, but through thoughtful deliberation. … Please be assured that I will keep your views in mind. Again, thank you for your comments. I hope you will stay in touch. Sincerely, Patty Murray United States Senator

From Jeanette Woodward-Partridge:

I wrote you the other day about my fear that if this government got a hold of $27.8 trillion dollars the world would be a nuclear graveyard in short order. I had an idea and I was wondering if you could run it by Ambassador Wanta next time you speak to him. Could these funds be divided among the LEGAL citizens of the US? That is every U.S. citizen, native or naturalized would get an equal share. Can you imagine how that would effect the economy of the world?! I’m so concerned about that money falling into the clutches of the powers that be that as I said I’d rather see it destroyed than to help fund the annihilation of the planet.

From Don DeHaven:

I have been e-mailing this story to my e-mail list and I have asked that they do the same. My list covers many states and in turn as it gets passed on many more states. I have also e-mailed Congressional reps as to my demands. I know that many on my list have done like wise. Keep up the work and please tell Mr. Wanta that he is not alone. The revolution has started and as many more Americans wake up to the criminal elements in government many more will be involved.

Lilies Beautiful But Deadly To Your Precious Felines…

Friday, July 4th, 2008

As though letting us know that winter’s all but gone, and spring is just around the corner, these glorious gifts of spring announce the coming of a brand new season of warmth and hope. And just as in years past, again, beautiful varieties of Lilies, with their hardy, fragrant petals and thick, stunning leaves, grace the entrances of our local grocery stores.

Breathtakingly beautiful, as they may be, these spectacular floral displays spell serious trouble for our beloved housecats. In fact, they are deadly poisonous to felines. Simply brushing up against, any variety of this plant, and then licking its fur, will cause a healthy, lively cat to become fatally ill. And to offer your cat the very best chance of survival, symptoms must be noted immediately and the vet notified of the emergency, regardless of the time of day or night.

Signs to look for:

Although the symptoms of poisoning can vary somewhat, mainly they are: drooling, repeated vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, sudden collapse, paralyses, and/or excessive irritation such as red, swollen, blistering or raw skin of the mouth or throat.

What to do:

Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency clinic immediately if your cat is showing any of these signs of poisoning or if you see your cat come in contact with any type of lily.

Note: If you should happen to see your cat eat something that you suspect is poisonous, don’t attempt to make it vomit. Take your cat to the vet with a sample of the plant or, better yet, a plant label if one exists; and let the doctor know the time of eating and any symptoms that maybe occurring. Also be aware that for some types of plants several days may pass between the ingestion of the undesirable material and the effects.

Get Creative With Your Christmas Decorated Fireplace Mantel

Friday, July 4th, 2008

When you begin to decorate your home for the holiday season, remember that the purpose and parameters of holiday d?cor are the same as decorating your home any other time of year - creating a comfortable space for your loved ones to gather, enjoy each other, share old memories and create new ones.

There are no limits when it comes to decorating ideas for the holidays, given the myriad of traditions that vary from one home to the next. However you and your loved ones will be celebrating the holidays, your Christmas decorated fireplace mantel can be a main display in your overall d?cor. Whether you are trying to create that cozy feeling of home, or you are going for an over-the-top theme to wow your guests, your fireplace can be the focal point of any room that it occupies.

Because your Christmas decorated fireplace mantel is such a strong element, the d?cor you choose for the fireplace should be echoed all around the room for consistency. And if your holiday tree and fireplace share the same room, you definitely want both to duplicate a similar theme, because you don’t want them to compete with each other - rather, you want them to complement one another.

Keep in mind that your theme will be influenced by the room where your fireplace is located. For example, a fireplace in the den is going to have a different decoration style and create a different kind of mood than a fireplace in the bedroom. In other words, you do not necessarily have to duplicate the same theme and/or design on every fireplace mantel.

As you begin to review possible ideas for your fireplace mantel Christmas decorations, from celebrating a different culture to showcasing your own family traditions over the years, below are a few themes to brighten any room in your home.

Holidays Around the World

Do you have a favorite country that you have visited or would like to visit? Are you from another country and want to incorporate your heritage into your mantel decorations? You can use your Christmas decorated fireplace mantel project as an opportunity to learn more about celebrating the holidays in a different country, whether your family has visited there or not. If you have visited the country that is central to your theme, you can incorporate your souvenirs into the fireplace mantel’s decor. If you have emigrated from another country, use this space to display any keepsakes or novelties of sentimental value, or items that are unique to your culture.

Travel Back in Time

Take this idea one step further by not only focusing on a different country, but also a different time in our history. For example, you can focus your d?cor around the theme of Colonial America, French Provincial or the Victorian era. If you have more than one fireplace mantel in your home, you can choose to focus on different time periods for each one.

Just One Thing

If you want a very clean, scaled-down look for your Christmas decorated fireplace mantel, you can choose one type of item, such as candles or flowers, and add some Christmas mantel scarves and some garland, to create an elegantly simple display. You can personalize this idea by specifically choosing your favorite type of plant or flower, or choosing an aromatic candle with a scent that speaks to you. And don’t limit yourself to traditional holiday greenery and aromas, such as poinsettias and pine. You can use any plant or flower from bamboo to orchids to roses, and any candle aroma from gardenia to sage.

Gifts Aplenty

Your fireplace mantel can serve as another place to display gifts - think of is as an extension of the space under your Christmas tree. Use your mantel to display gifts you have received, or some gifts you intend to give. Putting gifts around the room, not just under the tree, creates unexpected surprises.

Artifacts of Christmas Past

Dedicate your fireplace mantel Christmas decorations to a collection of handmade crafts, sentimental gifts or special items from holidays your family has shared in the past.

? Perhaps a relative sent you a special gift one year that relates to your family’s cultural history - if so, place it on the mantel with some relevant accessories.

? Maybe one year you and your family decided to visit a major city during the holiday season, such as New York or Washington D.C., and you have an exquisite souvenir that would make a beautiful centerpiece for your Christmas decorated fireplace mantel.

? You can share a traditional family recipe for sweet treats such as cookies or candies, making them the centerpiece or part of your display, accompanied by a picture frame that contains a brief written history of how the recipe has been enjoyed for generations.

? A simple photo gallery, with several picture frames, can include photos of how your family has grown and changed over the years, from one holiday season to the next.

Your Favorite Christmas Scene

Your Christmas decorated fireplace mantel can be an opportunity for you to display your favorite holiday scene. Many of us are familiar with the Christmas Nativity scene celebrating Jesus’ birth, but there are other scenes that remind us of the holidays as well. You can expand your scope to the many scenes that are known from age-old Christmas stories, such as Santa on his sleigh or on the rooftop with a sack of toys. You can display a scene from a more specific story, such as the battle between the Prince and the Mouse King from the Nutcracker ballet, or when the Grinch meets Sally Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas or when the children follow Frosty as he sings the theme song from Frosty the Snowman.

The holidays are a magical time, and your holiday decorating activities are an opportunity to capture some of that magic in a space where your family, friends and guests feel comfortable. Get creative and have fun, combining your imagination with your own signature style, and your fireplace mantel Christmas decorations will be an important part of creating a memorable holiday experience.

Spyware Remover

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Spyware invades your privacy. It is generally any software that invades computer systems mainly for advertising purposes, secretly gathering information from computer users then sending it back via Internet connections without anyone’s knowledge or permission, no less.

What happens is that spyware applications are most often packaged or bundled in with shareware or freeware programs as hidden components. So when you download programs from the Internet, you get the entire package, spyware included. Then once you install and activate the package, the spyware goes to work, monitoring activity of the computer users on the Internet, and sending the data back to home base.

Spyware Protection

Some Internet service providers (ISPs), like Earthlink and America Online or AOL are offering their own spyware protection built right in with the service packages. And there are a variety of adware and spyware removal tools to give your systems spyware protection, in budgets for all ranges from free on up.

Free Anti Adware

One of the top companies on the market today offering a no-cost solution is Lavasoft. They offer a free anti-spyware / anti adware download called Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition that can scan your hard drives, RAM, Registry, even external storage devices. It detects unwanted advertising, data-mining and tracking traces left to work throughout your systems. Simply download, install, activate and clean out your systems to get your privacy back.

Recent upgrades to this software include extended memory scanning that is an in-depth process now. The cleaning process of your system includes Code Sequence Identification technology that scans for unknown elements in your systems, an extended Registry scanning that now checks multiple-user set ups and more. The softare will also rid users of scumware, parasites, dialers, some trojans, malware and browser hijackers.

Adware Anti Virus and More…

Computer users can get help with readily available anti-virus, adware & spyware removal tools, often via instant downloads. You can at least install no-cost applications on a trial basis to see what you think. Then continue use regularly with paid or free versions. Popular tool choices, listed in no particular order of preference, include:

- Hitman Pro
- SpywareBlaster
- AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition
- Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware
- Spybot - Search & Destroy

So take charge and protect your privacy. Don’t let unwanted invasion enter and remain in your computer, sharing your personal information over the Internet with unknown sources. Fight back with an army of tools designed just to help you!

Understanding Legal Advice

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Legal advice is a generic term that covers the need for knowledge on all legal matters. It entails using knowledge of the law, its tenets, loopholes, and much more to determine subsequent courses of actions for clients. In essence, telling a client what path they should take or where they should go next.

Most countries require that one has a license to practice law before dispensing legal advice. Only a lawyer who has their license can offer legal advice to clients, even if there is no action that has been taken or the client hasn’t even begun to form an idea of what they need. This requirement applies to anyone dispensing legal advice, from in house financial counselors (financial lawyers) and conveyancers (those who draft documents for the transfer of property like deeds or mortgages) may spend little time in court, to high-powered defense attorneys.

If legal advice is dispensed without the necessary license, which precludes taking the bar exam, it counts as the crime of unauthorized practice of law and is a criminal offense in most states. While different states might have slightly different rules or categorizations of the offense, unless there is fraud, violation of consumer protection laws, or theft involved, the individual will usually get a slap on the wrist and an order to stop giving out unauthorized legal advice. If the advice given is fraudulent or there are bad intentions behind the advice, such as the offenses stated above, unauthorized practice of law is a crime that is punishable with jail-time and hefty fines.

However, other countries often have different rules when it comes to the dispensation of legal advice. In some cases, jurists who hold law degrees may provide legal advice to individuals or companies whether or not they have a license to do so. In other countries, accountants are allowed to give what is essentially legal advice on tax and financial matters. In countries like Wales and England, there is no law prohibiting anyone from giving legal advice; in Belgium, notaries of the law are allowed to give legal advice.

Thus, legal advice can take many forms depending on the country in which it is practiced. It is always imperative, if you’re interested in seeking legal advice or counsel, to look around and find out what the laws are surrounding legal advice and those who are allowed to give it. This will not only help you find a truly licensed lawyer, but protect you from those who try to convince you they are qualified to dispense legal advice without a license.

Take Two Cats and Call Me in the Morning

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Have you ever had a “cat” nurse? No, I’m not talking about Halloween fun at the hospital. A “cat” nurse is the best name I can use to describe an amazing feline phenomenon that I have personally witnessed. They can’t do CPR or take your temperature, but make no mistake your cat loves you unconditionally and it shows. It’s one medicine that you won’t need a prescription for.

It was almost a year ago to the date, my wife Natercia had to have ankle reconstruction surgery after a series of painful falls. The surgery was a success, however, it required my wife to be off her feet for several weeks. Just one day after the surgery I agreed to welcome 2 new family members into our home. We named them Sassy and Shadow. They were 2 of the cutest little kitties I had ever seen. As the kittens started to feel welcome in our home, and my wife adjusted to her new life of staying in bed, I noticed something truly amazing.

Sassy, the female kitten could always be found at my wife’s side. I would take Sassy to another room for feeding, but soon after she was right back in bed with my wife. I asked myself, “Could this kitten know that my wife is hurt?” Sassy would not only stay by her side, but she would always know when to give that little bit of loving that she needed. Though at times it seemed like Sassy new more, almost as if she was protecting her or watching over her.

Sassy’s brother Shadow also shares this magic. I had been sick with a very bad infection. The doctor had prescribed a very strong anti-biotic that caused me to sleep more than usual. Shadow never left my side, only to visit the litter box and to fulfill his craving for salmon. Having him there with me gave me a sense of security. I had been thinking that cats had this hidden nurse like tendency, but I still wasn’t sure if it was just my kittens being extra loving, until my close friend Sharon had a heart attack.

Sharon is a diabetic. After having some difficulties with her sugar and insulin balance she had an episode that put her into a coma for 3 days. Doctors still aren’t sure if she had a stroke or heart attack. Though once she had recovered enough to return home she was greeted by 4 of the most concerned little creatures. That first night back at home Sharon could not believe it. All 4 of her cats, which normally wouldn’t go near her room at night, slept on her bed with her. She had one at her head, one at her feet and one on each side of her. They did not leave her side all night.

The next morning when Sharon’s daughter stopped by to check in on her the nursing didn’t stop. When Sharon’s daughter sat on the bed to talk with her mother, the 4 cats stood up and acted almost as to say, “Don’t get too close to our patient.” They put themselves between the mother and daughter.

It has taken me some time to come to some understanding of this, but I can only say that pets communicate on a totally different level. This can also be seen in dogs that protect their owners or run to get help when their owner is hurt. I’m sure that someday science will find a way to communicate with animals. At which time a plethora of questions will be answered. In the mean time we leave it up to faith. You see, all of the cats in this story knew that their owners needed them. That is why it never hurts to have a pet or two in the family. If you too have experienced a “cat” nurse house call please tell me about it. I would be delighted to know that the Order of the Cat Nurse is alive and well in a bedroom near you.

To Make Money On the Internet - One Over-riding Rule

Friday, July 4th, 2008

There are lots of ways to make money on the internet, but let’s get several things straightened out first. It is just as difficult to make money on the internet as it is to make money with a bricks and mortar business, but on the internet, it is possible to get started with very little money. The ways to make money on the internet are as infinite as your imagination and if you combine those two points there is one absolute. Don’t part with any money until you are certain about what you are purchasing.

I have found that the real, honest to goodness organizations that you can joint venture with, or work for, present their offers to you in a truly transparent manner. The best of the best, will grant you full access to their methods of conducting business online without any prerequisite for you to part with your money.

In your search for ways to make money on the internet, very often you will be presented with offers to be a re-seller. This means you buy information to sell on to others. Frequently, this information is about how someone has made hundreds of thousands of dollars, possibly millions of dollars, by using techniques obtained through purchasing an e-book for seemingly very little money. The impression is that the up-side is so massive as to make the purchase price appear trivial.

Take care. Commonly, the person selling the information has made a fortune using methods that exploit a loop-hole in a service. However, the service-provider maybe closing the loop-hole. You could be too late to gain any advantage using the tactics yourself and word may have spread, making it very difficult to sell the information onwards.

Always ask yourself why the person is offering this information to the public at large. After all, if the biggest businesses go to incredible lengths to keep their money making methods secret, don’t you think that anyone who has successfully discovered how to make money on the internet would do the same. However, there are always exceptions.

Sometimes you can be a re-seller for a service, such as web-hosting, or an auto-responder for example. Such services are based on an ongoing subscription and may be linked to an affiliate program. In such circumstances, it is understandable to be offered the opportunity to be a re-seller. The person offering you the service will continue making money on your subscription and you will continue to make money on the internet for the lifetime of your customer’s subscriptions.
